Petition Statement:

Iowans value the freedom to access abortion and make personal, private medical decisions without politicians interfering. No matter where a person lives, what they look like, or what they do, every person’s life is unique. Someone you love may need an abortion one day.

Today, Iowa has a near-total abortion ban in place. The law bans abortion around six weeks, before many people even know they’re pregnant. Iowans deserve the freedom to make their own health care decisions, including whether or not to have an abortion.  We are committed to building a better future where all Iowans have the freedom to control their own bodies, lives, and futures.

Our reproductive rights, including safe and legal abortion, must be restored and protected. We need every Iowan to stand together to defend access to reproductive health care.

This petition is hosted by Planned Parenthood Advocates of Iowa, Interfaith Alliance of Iowa Action Fund, One Iowa Action, Iowa Abortion Access Fund, and Progress Iowa.
